The ARK Foundation, established in [YEAR], is the philanthropic arm of The Ark of DC, dedicated to bridging gaps in essential resources for patients, families, and residents throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan region. We strive to enhance the quality of life for our community through comprehensive support and services.

As a champion for individuals facing challenges from homelessness, behavioral health, substance use disorder or underemployment, The Ark Foundation of America will provide the tools, education and training, resources, guidance, and support necessary to help each person thrive.

We envision a world where individuals seeking stability and experiencing life challenges from homelessness, behavioral health, substance use disorder, or underemployment are free to make choices to live their best lives with dignity and joy.

Our Commitment

The ARK Foundation is dedicated to:

  • Community Outreach and Engagement: Actively connecting with the community to provide essential support and foster a sense of belonging.
  • Education and Training: Offering programs to enhance skills and knowledge, including IT training and health literacy education.
  • Housing Resources: Connecting those in need with resources and support to help them access safe and stable housing.
  • Advocacy: Championing the rights and needs of individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions.
  • Preventative Programs: Implementing initiatives to prevent opioid and substance use disorders, as well as other addictions.
  • Support Services: Enabling individuals, families, and couples to rebuild their lives with hope, independence, and dignity.
  • Treatment Services: Providing affordable and individualized outpatient treatment for mental health and substance use disorders to each person in need.
